The Championships

Join us for The Championships! This tournament is open to club members and offers competitive and fun match play across multiple divisions.

Divisions

Final divisions will be confirmed closer to the event, but may include:

  • Women’s Singles

  • Men’s Doubles

  • Women’s Doubles

  • Mixed Doubles

  • Junior Singles​

​

​Divisions will depend on registration numbers.

Tournament Dates & Times

  • Friday: 5:00 – 11:00 PM

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Matches may be scheduled at any time during these windows.

Price and Prizes

The entry fee for The Championships is $20 per person. The champion of each division will receive a prize valued at $200, and the runner-up will receive a prize valued at $100.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • All registrations will be handled through Court Reserve.

  • All players must register individually, including both partners in a doubles team.

  • Once registration closes, players will receive a link to confirm their doubles partner.

  • In the case of a Doubles Tournament, players may register without a partner. If there are enough individual registrants, the club will do its best to pair players and will notify them once matchups are finalized.

MATCH FORMAT

  • Draw Type: Single-elimination.

  • Scoring (up to semifinals): Pro set to 8 games, advantage scoring. At 7–7, a 10-point tiebreak will be played.

  • Finals: May be best of 3 sets, weather and time permitting.

PLAYER REQUIREMENTS

  • Players must arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match time.

  • Matches may be moved earlier if courts become available.

  • Late arrivals risk default due to limited court availability.

TOURNAMENT RULES

  • Warm-Up: 5-minute warm-up provided. Play must begin immediately afterward.

  • Check-In: Players must check in at the monitor desk for court assignments before each match.

  • Tennis Balls: New balls will be provided for every match.

​

  • Officiating: All matches are self-officiated. Players are expected to make honest line calls and resolve disputes respectfully.

  • Weather: In the event of inclement weather, matches may be delayed or rescheduled. Updates will be communicated by email.

​

  • Withdrawals: Players who need to withdraw after registering must notify the club as soon as possible.

SPORTSMANSHIP & ETIQUETTE

Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Any disrespectful or unsportsmanlike behavior toward opponents, staff, or other members may result in immediate disqualification.
